Where is Scoop N Chill?
2122 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley, CA 94704, in Downtown Berkeley, steps from the Downtown Berkeley BART station and a short walk from the west side of the UC Berkeley campus.
Scoop N Chill is a dessert counter in Downtown Berkeley, on Shattuck Avenue between the BART station and the campus. The menu runs from a plain single scoop to a Dubai chocolate sushi crepe: ice cream and gelato, sundaes, folded and rolled crepes, croffles, strawberry cups, milkshakes, fruit lemonades, and an espresso bar with lattes, mochas and teas.
The scoop case holds ten ice cream flavors, two of them made in house (Biscoff and tiramisu), and six gelato and sorbet flavors, including Nutella, ube, Thai tea, matcha and banana pudding. Toppings run from cereal and cookie crumbles to fresh fruit, with pistachio, Nutella, Biscoff and white chocolate sauces.
Most of the menu can be ordered ahead for pickup through the shop's own ordering page, for as soon as possible or a scheduled time.
Ice cream, gelato, milkshakes, crepes and croffles are made with dairy. Pistachio, Nutella, Reese's and mixed-nut sauces and toppings are handled at the same counter, so ask before ordering with a nut allergy. Espresso drinks and hot chocolate can be made with almond or oat milk. Ask at the counter which scoops are dairy-free.
